Prior to joining KPMG in 2021, he spent four years at the Bank of England working as an economist to an External Member of the Monetary Policy Committee. Before that, he held various roles at the Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) and HM Treasury, including a secondment to the independent review of UK economic statistics led by Professor Sir Charles Bean (The Bean Review).
In 2017, he won the Rybczynski Prize for the best piece of writing on economics, awarded by the Society of Professional Economists.
