Forensic Technology - Data Analytics (Fraud)

KPMG Thailand’s Forensic Technology Advisory professionals assist our clients by performing queries and analysis of large sets of data, employing advanced data analysis techniques to uncover anomalies and unusual patterns in the data to help our clients address concerns of potential fraud, misconducts as well as regulatory. We are looking for someone to join our team to focus on the following:

• Participate in discussions and interface with various client’s business departments to gather, define and document requirements, design and develop analysis solutions based on underlying data sources.
• Responsible for fully understanding business processes and proactively seek clarification of requirements and direction and takes responsibility when needed.
• Leverage data engineering and data science to provide analytical insights, contribute to and help deliver data cleaning/restructuring, statistical modelling, machine learning and detection rule implementation in partnership with forensic accounting and other cross-functional teams.
• Refreshing and optimizing existing analysis based on internal and external feedback.
• Think out-of-the-box to design visualization solutions that meet or exceed team expectations insights and set anomaly alerts according to monitoring rules.
• Self-starting, pro-active team player that is experienced delivering technology enabled solutions
• Support the project manager by communicating the progress and updating any issues of all assignments.
• Support internal/external knowledge sharing, practice development and to pursue opportunities in collaboration with global colleagues.
• Support other forensic team members including fraud investigation, eDiscovery and cyber incident response.

• 1-4 years of strong experience in data analysis and/or data science (4-6 years for Assistant Manager).
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in advanced field of technology or other relevant majors such as statistics, computer science, financial engineering, etc.
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical analysis tools such as SQL, R, Python and Excel.
• Proficiency in data science skills and common statistical techniques (such as regression, clustering/profiling, sampling and social network analysis).
• Experience with business intelligence systems, such as Power BI and Tableau as well as internal audit process, transaction monitoring process and/or cyber threat hunting is a plus.
• Familiarity with forensic imaging tools (EnCase, FTK, Cellebrite, Paladin, etc.) and eDiscovery tools (Intella, NUIX, Relativity, etc.) is a plus.
• Capable of working independently to solve problems under deadlines and to manage multiple projects/priorities under time constraints.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical analysis to a non-technical audience. 

• Ability to independently undertake moderate domestic/overseas travel with short notice.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English and Thai.
• Beneficial certificates: Data Engineer or Machine Learning Engineer.
