On 12 March 2024, all companies in Luxembourg with at least 15 employees must organize social elections to choose staff representatives.

How does it affect you?

The beginning of the year is a busy season for all of us, as we set new goals and projects for the months to come. And this year, there’s something else on our to-do lists… Every five years in Luxembourg, companies employing a minimum of 15 members of staff are mandated to organize their own elections. Companies across all sectors? Yes!

The objective of the social elections is the designation of staff delegates whose role is to safeguard and defend the interests of the employees with regard to working conditions, security of employment and employment status. The social elections are a cornerstone of workplace democracy, ensuring that the voices of workers are heard.
