Patrick Leonard

Patrick is a tax professional with over 20 years of experience. He started his career in the UK, and has also worked in several markets in Central & Eastern Europe, including the Czech Republic. While in CEE Patrick has worked primarily with inbound international investors. He is an experienced transaction professional having advised on structuring and executing a number of high profile M&A transactions, both on the buy-side and the sell-side, as well as on complex financing arrangements. He has worked particularly with investment funds, including Private Equity funds, and other specialist funds. He has advised on IPOs for companies on stock exchanges in the UK and in CEE. He is currently the leader for KPMG’s M&A Tax services, assisting companies in structuring and executing acquisitions in the Czech Republic. His advice has covered corporate income taxes, as well as indirect taxes and payroll related issues. Throughout his career Patrick has supported Audit teams in reviewing tax provision and related disclosures for audit clients.
